Steve Giese – CEO/Founder

142_200_csupload_57617246After graduating from the University of Kentucky in 1982 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree concentrating in Marketing, Steve began his career in the corporate marketing world for a large automotive aftermarket manufacturer of exhaust systems and shock absorbers based in Chicago, IL. There he worked with retailers, customer incentive programs and advertising agencies. After a couple of successful years, Steve was recruited to a small IT software start up company to run their marketing department. He then moved to sales where he called on F-500 companies selling IT solutions and expanding territories for the company. He was promoted to sales manager running the sales organization across the country. Steve was recruited by a mid-size corporate reseller, to lead a team of sales executives in their central region selling brand named software to companies large and small. Steve’s success promoted him to Western Area Vice President leading the entire western US sales efforts. In 1997, he was recruited by a F-100 distribution company and asked to move from Sales to Operations in their corporate office in Clearwater, FL. After 15 years of sales and marketing success, he wanted to better understand and bring a sales perspective to the back-office so he took on the new challenge. Steve was promoted to Senior Vice President and recognized into the Chairman’s Circle for excellence. Steve was recruited to a small start up in cloud computing as Chief Operating Officer back in his home town of Minneapolis, MN where he developed processes, metrics and managed the back-office operations and IT services. Steve was then recruited to an IT reseller as CEO focused on sales methodology, marketing and operational excellence. Steve was recruited from there to do something completely different and manage a two state area for a large land development company running all sales, marketing and operations functions for multiple offices. Steve was then recruited to a global consulting company as Chief Operating Officer to focus on a turn around effort by implementing a sales and marketing methodology, back-office processes, systems and compensation plans throughout North America, Europe, Asia and India. After successfully turning around and selling the company he established Opmetrics Consulting. Steve’s 15 years in sales and marketing along with his 15 years in operations and vast global experiences make him an excellent partner for different businesses of all sizes facing new challenges everyday.
